You are welcome exactly as you are

There is no dress code. Some of us come in a shirt and tie, some in jeans, some straight from the garden. Nobody will look twice at what you are wearing.

There is no test of belief. You do not have to believe anything in particular to sit with us, and you do not have to stop believing anything either. Doubt is welcome in the room — it is part of being human, and pretending otherwise has never helped anyone.

And there is no judgement here. We are a small congregation with a big heart: ordinary people who have had ordinary weeks. Whatever brought you to this page, you will not be the only one in the room who feels that way.

What a Sunday looks like

Basic church, done with care. We sing hymns, we pray together, and we listen to a sermon. There is room for quiet as well as for singing, and nobody will ask you to stand up and introduce yourself.

Little ones are welcome here, and so is their noise. We believe in the worth of all persons — every person, of every age — so a wriggle, a whisper or a cry in the middle of a sermon is not a problem. Nobody will turn round, and nobody will mind.

Join in as much or as little as you like. Sing if you know the tune, stay silent if you do not. Nobody is keeping score, and nobody is watching to see whether you get it right.

Stay afterwards if you would like to. There is always someone to talk to, and always room for one more.
